Pastor Godly P. Joy was born and raised in the Thrissur district of Kerala, India. He is the son of Pastor P. M. Joy and Aleyamma Joy. After completing his higher education, he worked for a few years before he felt called by God to study His Word. In 2021, he established Hagios Pentecostal Assembly in Canada, where he continues to serve faithfully. Pastor Godly comes from a rich Pentecostal heritage. His grandfather served as a pastor in the India Pentecostal Church of God (IPC), and his father, Pastor P. M. Joy, continues to minister in the IPC even today. From a young age, Pastor Godly was nurtured in spiritual disciplines through Sunday School and the Pentecostal Youth Prayer Association (PYPA). During his teenage years, he actively participated in Vacation Bible School (VBS) programs and youth camps, showcasing strong leadership abilities, organizational skills, and a deep passion for ministry. He also supported young writers by working with the Pentecostal magazine published by his father, encouraging youth to write and facilitating the publication of their articles.
After being saved and water baptized, Pastor Godly realized that God had a divine plan for his life. He continually prepared himself through prayer, study, and obedience. Although he received various divine prophecies, messages, and promises from many servants of God, he waited patiently and with spiritual discernment for their fulfillment. In God’s appointed time, he was led into full-time ministry under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Godly maintains a disciplined spiritual life characterized by regular meditation on the Word of God, prayer, reading, and writing. His calling extends beyond leading people to salvation; he is deeply committed to helping believers grow, mature, and become established in their faith. For the past five years, in the church entrusted to him by God, he has ministered the Word faithfully without doctrinal compromise or bias. He consistently teaches Bible classes every Wednesday and delivers Spirit-led messages that edify and strengthen the body of Christ.
In 2017, Pastor Godly married Axa, the daughter of Pastor Mathew V. George and Daisy Mathew. The Lord has blessed them with two children: a daughter, Amaris Emma Godly, and a son, Hananel Joe Godly.
Pastor Godly and his family are permanently settled in Canada and continue to serve the Lord with gratitude and dedication, faithfully carrying out the ministry of Hagios Pentecostal Assembly according to the grace God has bestowed upon them.
